Answer
No, that is fine. In the same Bhagavad Gita, Krishna explains this clearly. Arjuna asks: what are the symptoms of a person who has gone beyond the three modes of material nature? What is his conduct? How does he behave, and how does he transcend these modes?

In response, Krishna describes—over several verses—the characteristics of such a transcendental person and the process by which one rises beyond the modes. Similarly, in the second chapter also, He explains the symptoms of a realized soul—how such a person walks, speaks, and conducts himself.

So yes, Krishna gives us these external and internal symptoms, and we can try to observe and understand them. But in practice, it is not so easy. It takes time—often many years in Krishna consciousness—to truly understand and appreciate these qualities in a realized person.

That is why it is a great fortune to come in contact with a liberated soul like A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Such association is rare. Without it, we may end up admiring or following people who are themselves conditioned or materialistic, thinking they are advanced.
